There has been a lot of people waiting to upgrade their D-segment cars. While pondering which car to get, I know some of them are waiting for the latest Nissan Teana. Well the good news is that, Nissan just announced the launch of the all-new Nissan Teana in Japan on Monday, with the car set to go on sale in Japan on February 5. We can only speculate when Tan Chong Motors will launch the Teana here in Malaysia.
The Teana has been developed as a global model, with an annual sales target of over 600,000 units in more than 120 countries, including Japan, the U.S. and China.
Some key features the sedan will bring to the Japanese market include a multi-link rear suspension giving the driver a supple quality ride and improved over handling. Powering the all-new Teana is a new QR25 engine that comes with a matching XTRONIC CVT delivering excellent acceleration, as well as an ample low- and mid-range torque when overtaking slower vehicles.
Improved fuel economy and the Active Trace Control refine handling through all variety of corners by minimizing steering corrections. Safety features include Nissan’s innovative and renowned “Safety Shield” technologies – Around View Monitor (AVM), Moving Object Detection (MOD), Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
The Press Conference can be viewed here as Nissan Executive Vice President Takao Katagiri and Chief Planning Officer Andy Palmer introduced the all-new Teana at Nissan’s Global Headquarters in Yokohama, Japan.
