Fresh from the close defeat in 2013, the Yamaha Factory Racing duo of former world champions, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, has revealed their assault for this year’s MotoGP. Lorenzo and Rossi took the wraps off the 2014 Yamaha M1 machine during a special ceremony in front of Yamaha dealers in Jakarta, Indonesia. As seen, the color liveries of blue and white remains to be seen on the bike.
Double MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo also dismissed reports that he has signed a ‘preliminary agreement’ to race with Ducati in 2015. Quote from the 26-year old Spaniard “My dream is to retire after my career as a Yamaha rider. If our bike is even better this year then it will be easier!”
Rossi also mentioned that “This season is very important for me and the fact that we officially start the season here in Jakarta makes it even more special. “I can’t remember any previous unveiling by Yamaha made outside Europe, so today’s event was special for several reasons”
“I like the new bike a lot, it’s very smart and elegant with more white. It’s not just the colour though; I’m excited to see what’s inside the bike in Sepang!” said Lorenzo, referring to the first test of 2014 in Sepang which begins next month.
