While Alfa Romeo has been showcasing the all-new Giulia in its range-topping Quadrifoglio Verde trim, it appears that customers worldwide can choose from a range of petrol and diesel engines.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia is said to receive a 2.2-litre JTDM turbodiesel engine with several power outputs, ranging from 150 hp, 180 hp and 210 hp. All variants can be had with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. Power goes to the rear wheels for all models, except the 210 hp variant, which features an all-wheel-drive system.
Those wanting a petrol engine can opt for the 2.0-liter GME T4 engine with three power outputs. Starting at the bottom is the 2.0-litre GME that pushes out 200 hp, followed by 250- and 280 horsepower. Like the diesel, the petrol variant can be optioned with all-wheel-drive.
Lastly there’s the 2.9-litre V6 block used in the range topping Quadrifoglio Verde trim. This engine can be had with either a six-speed manual or an automatic. Opt for the automatic, you’ll lose 10 hp, compared to the 500 hp that is available with the manual.
