Photos of the all-new Mazda CX-9 which is expected to make its world premiere at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show this week have just surfaced online giving us our first look at this much-awaited mid-size crossover.
Last week, Mazda released an official teaser sketch of the CX-9, with a styling heavily inspired from Mazda’s Koeru concept featuring an aggressive snout with an almost upright grille and a deeply sculpted front bumper.
While the profile isn’t all too different from the car it replaces, the shorter rear overhang and more sloped rear window together with the slim taillights give the all-new CX-9 a sportier feel.
The interior is an evolution of the designs seen on Mazda’s latest cars like the 6 sedan and the CX-5 crossover with added premium touches and seating for seven passengers in the three rows of seats.
We have yet to gather any official information on the powertrains, but it’s believed that the new CX-9 will get a turbocharged version of the company’s 2.5-liter inline-four Skyactive unit found in other models in the range.
Hopefully, more info will soon follows as we drew closer to its official launch!
