When it comes to sports sedans, there is no denying that the BMW 3-Series was one of the earliest to spearhead that segment. But, a challenger is set to appear in the form of the all-new Jaguar XE, which we spotted on their official website!
While info is scarce at the moment, we believe that units sold here would be of petrol variant. Jaguar has a range of both petrol and diesel engines for this particular compact executive sedan, but looking at the popularity of diesel vehicles here, the diesel variant may not arrive here any time soon.
Jaguar offers both a six-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic for the XE, both of which can be had with a 2-litre petrol engine in two power configurations. The former pushes out 200 PS and 279 Nm of torque, while the latter is capable of 240 PS and 339 Nm of torque. Jaguar also offers a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine for the XE, but whether this variant arrives here is yet to be seen.
No word on when this Solihull-assembled Jaguar XE will launch locally, but Jaguar Malaysia’s site does offer potential buyers to register for more updates.
Stay tuned for more juicy info!
