For the first time ever, Bermaz Motor has previewed the all-new Mazda CX-3 compact SUV right here in Malaysia at the recent ASEAN Auto Show 2015 held at MIECC.
The preview also indicates that the official debut of this much anticipated crossover is just around the corner. Sources from Bermaz Motor told us that its unveiling is slated for 8th December 2015, so in just a few weeks’ time, you can head down to your nearest Mazda showroom to have a closer look at this Honda HR-V contender!
Available in a single variant, the CX-3 will be powered by a 2.0-litre SkyActiv-G petrol engine that generates 146hp and 192Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via 6-speed automatic transmission. To further improve fuel economy, the CX-3 is also available with i-Stop technology that shuts the engine off when the car is at a standstill.
The CX-3 will also be well-equipped with all the bells and the whistles available in a top-spec Japanese model which includes projector LED headlamps with DRLs, Sunroof, Rear Fog Lamp as well as a High Beam Control System.
Inside the cabin, buyers will be able to find a MZD 7-inch touchscreen centre display with commander control switch and navigation system, Push Start & Smart Keyless Entry, Paddle Shift, Half Leather Seat and (HUD) Head-Up Display fitted as standard features.
In terms of safety, the CX-3 comes standard with ABS with EBD, BA and HLA as well as 6-airbags including front, side and curtain airbags. With all these features, the CX-3 could be the best bang for your buck especially for those seeking a new compact crossover!
We’ll keep you posted with more details once it is officially unveiled in Malaysia early next month. In the meantime, feel free to check out the photo gallery of the CX-3 in a striking red exterior below;
