At the recent Dubai Motor Show, Fiat has unveiled a new pick up truck called the Fullback. Looks familiar? Of course, as the Fiat Fullback is a rebadged Mitsubishi Triton. No, really..
Slated to go against the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger and Nissan Navara, the Fiat-badged Mitsubishi Triton will be available with various body styles, including a twin cab body.
The Fiat cousin gets a revised front bumper and rims, while engine remains identical to its Japanese twin. Fiat will fit a 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine with 150 hp or 180 hp, both of which can be had with a six-speed manual or five-speed auto. Like the Triton, the Fullback features a four-wheel drive system.
Fiat plans to sell the new Fullback in European markets and Middle Eastern markets from Q3 2016 onwards.
