Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) has officially unveiled the latest model to their lineup at the Johor Premium Outlets, the more track-focused Cayman GT4!
Under the hood of the hot new Cayman GT4 is a 3.8-litre flat-6 engine with 385 hp and 420 Nm, derived from the 911 Carrera S. Unlike the tamer Cayman GTS, the GT4 variant comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission! Porsche says that the new Cayman GT4 can sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 295 km/h. The new Cayman GT4 is able to lap the North Loop of the Nurburgring circuit in just 7 minute 40 seconds.
The Porsche Cayman GT4 also sits 30 mm lower to the ground, features a large fixed rear wing, LED daytime running lights and a more aggressive front bumper design. The Cayman GT4 can be further optioned with the PCCB ceramic brake system, full shell seats made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP), a custom Sport Chrono Package with the unique Track Precision app and a Club Sport Package. Fitted all around the Cayman GT4 are 20-inch wheels.
Moving inside, the driver will appreciate the sport seats, upholstered in a combination of leather and Alcantara, which offers very good lateral support. The three-spoke steering wheel guarantees ideal control and direct steering feedback due to its compact dimensions.
Prices start from RM840,000 for the base Cayman GT4, which includes a 4-year warranty. Prices quoted exclude registration fees, road tax and insurance.
