In continuing to be the premium partner of the CIMB Classic for the sixth successive year, BMW Group Malaysia officially handed over the keys to a fleet of BMW 5 Series and BMW X5 vehicles to be utilised as the official cars at the upcoming CIMB Classic 2015.
Mr. Alan Harris, Managing Director, BMW Group Malaysia said, “BMW Group Malaysia have been the premium automotive partner for the CIMB Classic tournament from its very beginning six years ago and we are pleased to be part of the growth and the success of the tournament throughout the years.”
Harris added that the BMW Group have a long history and commitment of being involved in the sport of Golf. The sport serves as one of three main sporting initiatives that the premium automaker is committed to worldwide which also includes motorsports and sailing.
“Our commitment in the sport of Golf is at every level, from the premium amateur level events in the likes of our BMW Golf Cup International program which is the largest and most prestigious amateur golf competition in the world to competitions like the CIMB Classic, the first PGA TOUR-sanctioned event in South East Asia and the only official FedExCup event in South East Asia as well as the recently concluded Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.” said Harris.
The fleet of BMW 5 Series and BMW X5 vehicles will be utilised for the shuttling of all players, officials, as well as VIPs who will be in Malaysia throughout the tournament. BMW Group Malaysia will also be showcasing the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, the BMW X6, the new BMW X1 sDrive 20i and the all-new BMW i8 at the tournament grounds during the competition. The BMW i8 is also the Hole-in One Prize at the tournament.
