Ford Malaysia has announced that they have sold a total of 975 vehicles in July, driven by strong demand for the Ranger, Fiesta and EcoSport.
“As we see momentum return to the industry, we’re pleased that more and more Malaysians are being attracted by our class-leading Ranger, which continues to significantly outpace the performance of the pick-up segment,” said David Westerman, managing director, Malaysia and Asia-Pacific Emerging Markets, Ford Motor Company.
A total 669 units of the Ranger was sold, a steady increase over the past few months. Year-to-date sales of the popular Ranger have increased 22% to 5,520 units. “The Ranger combines the safety and security systems of a passenger car with the ruggedness and dependability of a pickup truck, delivering a combination of features and performance that is unmatched in the market,” added Westerman.
To accommodate the growing demands of the Ranger, Ford has increased dealer stock across the nation for the entire Ranger line-up.
Sales of the Fiesta has also seen an increase of 12% to 119 units compared to the month before. As for the Ford EcoSport, a total of 101 units were sold.
Ford Malaysia will be launching the new Ranger and Everest to our local market soon, with the iconic Mustang slated for end of the year debut.
