The Nissan Jurassix Park 4X4 Challenge Is Back!

Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) once again brought the excitement of off-roading not only to its customers, but also the general public with the return of the Nissan Jurassix Park 4×4 Challenge. Taking place in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah from the 13th-15th of December, it is the seventh such event to-date organized by ETCM since 2004. A total of 54 entrants took up the challenge to experience the innovation that excites provided by Nissan’s 4×4 vehicle range. The participants were given a chance to win a total of prizes worth up to RM20, 000.

A specially-constructed track at the Nissan Village in ALAMESRA was laid out with obstacles which included different surface conditions as well as water hazards. Members of the general public got a taste of off-roading on the 13th and 15th of December in the Nissan NAVARA provided for testing. They were given a free run on 10 of the stages around course, allowing them to experience the Updated Nissan NAVARA’s power and strength first-hand.

On the 14th of December, existing Nissan owners had the opportunity to learn about and understand the capabilities and features of their own 4×4 vehicles. The participants competed for the top spot in the “In the Search for the 4×4 Off-Road Warrior Challenge”. They faced 25 adrenaline-charged stages which included physical challenges and which truly tested the mettle of both man and machine.
Mr. Ade Azlhan Ramdan and Mr. Mohd Hazle Sidik beat all the others to emerge as the winner, taking home the Grand Prize. A special dinner and prize-presentation ceremony was held at Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai in Kota Kinabalu.

Dato’ David Chen, Executive Director of ETCM, said: “The event is an excellent opportunity for Nissan owners to discover the capabilities of their Nissan 4×4 vehicles. For prospective buyers on the other hand, this is also a good opportunity to experience Nissan vehicles first-hand. We are pleased to bring this event to Malaysia for the seventh time since its inception in 2004. The choice of an East Malaysian location once again underlies ETCM’s commitment to serve our customers from every corner of the nation. We regard all of them as part of the Nissan family.”
