In conjunction with the Great Britain marketing campaign by the British High Commission of Malaysia, Lotus Cars Malaysia has unveiled a special limited edition Lotus Elise Great Britain for the Malaysian market.
Available in limited quantities, the Elise Great Britain packs great value at only RM254,888. It is based on the recently introduced Elise 20th Anniversary and the car is equipped with standard and additional options exclusive to the Malaysian market.
Weighing just 924 kg, the Elise Great Britain is a sports car that both enthusiasts and newcomers to the brand will desire. It is designed with performance enthusiasts in mind. Lightweight, efficient and totally pure in its driving experience, its benchmark in handling remains the envy of the sports car scene. The Great Britain package includes the “Sport Pack” which is equipped with lightweight forged wheels, lightweight center console, lightweight black cloth trimmed Sport Seats and Bilstein Sport Dampers. A sport mode is also included which increases throttle response and alters the traction slip thresholds allowing the driver enhanced control before intervention.
The Union Jack decals on the side intake of the car identify the Great Britain Special Edition.
The additional option that comes with this Special Edition are Soft Top, Black Style Pack which includes matt black wheels and a matt black rear diffuser. The Lotus Elise Great Britain Edition is available in 3 metallic colours – Metallic Silver, Metallic White and Metallic Yellow.
Under the hood, power is supplied by a four-cylinder engine that produces 217bhp at 6800rpm and 250Nm of torque at 4600rpm. Fitted with a close ratio 6-speed manual gearbox, 0-100km/h is achieved in 4.6sec and top speed is limited at 233km/h.
According to Lotus Cars Malaysia, the first three lucky customers placing an order for the Limited Edition model will enjoy a complimentary Touring Pack on top of the Sport Pack available. The Touring Pack option will replace the seats with Ebony Black leather sport seats.
Aside from the introduction of the special limited edition Lotus Elise Great Britain, the company also announced that the Exige S Automatic, which started selling in the UK earlier this year is now open for orders in Malaysia. The 346bhp, 3.5-litre supercharged V6-powered Exige S is quicker than the manual and dispatches the 0-100km/h sprint in 3.8 seconds, 0.1 seconds ahead of the manual.
The Exige S Automatic Roadster will be on display at the Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur, from 5 – 9 August 2015. Car enthusiast who would like to get a closer look at the Roadster can come over to the North Atrium of the Gardens Mall on from 10am – 10pm on the mentioned dates.
