The MotoGP Calender for 2014 has been updated, and the Malaysian round in Sepang has been confirmed for 26 Oct 2014. The race in Sepang is part of the ‘triple-header’, where three races are held back-to-back starting from Japan to Australia, before heading to Malaysia, which now becomes the penultimate race of the season. In the earlier provisional calendar, the order was set as Sepang followed by Japan before Australia’s Philip Island and then ends in the traditional finale in Valencia, Spain.
The reason behind the reshuffle is attributed to logistics reasons. That reshuffle should lower the air-freight costs for the teams. Nevertheless, should Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez go head-to-head as they did this year, the MotoGP race in Sepang should be much more electrifying to watch in 2014.
