Fans of superbike racing can expect an exciting experience at the Sepang International Circuit as racers battle for the world crown at the eni FIM Superbike World Championship 2015 Malaysian Round from 31 July to 2 August for Round 10 of the 2015 series.
The world championship is currently taking a summer break. After that, the championship will travel to the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for ninth race in two weeks’ time, which will be from 17 to 19 July. They will then head for Sepang with all eyes on the battle between Kawasaki Racing teammates and British compatriots Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes.
Tom Skyes was dethroned last year by Frenchman and former MotoGP rider Sylvain Guintoli, and is desperate to close the gap on Rea, who is looking for the first world title of his career.
Rea has opened a massive 133 point advantage over his closest rival with a total haul of 375 points after eight rounds against Sykes’ 242 points. Third place currently goes to British rider Leon Haslam of Aprilia Racing Team.
Sepang International Circuit is hosting the second round of the WSBK race, and has been made more exciting with the return of legendary rider Max Biaggi, who has been entered by SIC as a wildcard rider.
Apart from the World Superbike and Supersport championships, the eni FIM Superbike World Championship Malaysian Round will also feature the second round of the new Malaysia Superbike Championship, which features top riders from Malaysia and its neighbouring countries.
Tickets can be purchased at the circuit or via www.sepangcircuit.com. Fans can also call the SIC TICKET HOTLINE at 03-8778 2222 to get their tickets.
