Volkswagen Malaysia is embarking on its inaugural nationwide brand showcase, the ‘Volkswagen On Tour’, by introducing the brand and its German-engineered range of fleet to 13 locations nationwide from today until March 2014, kicking off the tour at Queensbay Mall, Penang.
‘Volkswagen On Tour’ serves as an invitation to Malaysians from all walks of life to experience an exclusive brand experience for motoring enthusiasts and families alike, with free admission and an exhibition area of more than 11,000 sq. ft. full of excitement.
“‘Volkswagen On Tour’ serves as a platform to engage Malaysians nationwide in a Customer dialogue whilst bringing its exclusive brand experience directly to the people’s doorstep. It is also a public outreach initiative aimed to share Volkswagen’s product range and brand values with Malaysians – its distinctive philosophy, safety technology, ‘Think Blue.’ attitude and cutting-edge innovation that go into the German-engineered Volkswagen fleet,” said Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Malaysia Dr Zeno Kerschbaumer.
Dovetailing Volkswagen’s recent participation at the Kuala Lumpur International Show 2013 in November with its current dealer network expansion, ‘Volkswagen On Tour’ reflects another continuous avenue to further introduce its locally assembled models amongst a range of models and the reinforcement of its brand presence nationwide.
Throughout the 13-week tour, visitors to the roadshow will be able to get up close and personal with the various Volkswagen vehicles on display. Whether it’s the recently launched 2014 Polo Sedan, the current World Car of The Year, the seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf or the iconic Beetle; visitors can also look forward to viewing, exploring and test-driving their favorite Volkswagen models themselves.
‘Think Blue’ is one of the highlights of ‘Volkswagen On Tour’. Visitors will be able to learn more about fuel efficiency and reducing carbon emissions for a
sustainable mobility, as well as how Volkswagen is applying innovative and award-winning automotive technology to achieve a better tomorrow.
Additionally, the public will get a chance to familiarize Volkswagen’s advance safety technology i.e. range of child safety seats and ISOFIX (child seat anchor).
The ‘Volkswagen On Tour’ road show promises patrons an unforgettable time getting to know other aspects of the Volkswagen brand through interactive displays and fun-filled activities featuring the automotive marque’s sporty side such as the Volkswagen Golf GTI and a driving simulator as well as the celebration of Volkswagen Motorsports recent win of the 2013 World Rally Championship (WRC).
All attendees can participate in the ‘Volkswagen On Tour’ Photo contest, which requires them to snap a picture of themselves with a complete coaster puzzle obtained at the roadshow. They then need to post the photo with the hashtag #VolkswagenOnTour either on Instagram and follow the @VolkswagenOnTour account or on Facebook and tag the Volkswagen Malaysia Facebook page to stand the chance of winning one of nine prizes of an extended two week test drive with any of their favourite Volkswagen models.
The ‘Volkswagen On Tour’ road show will be heading to 13 locations nationwide from 13 December till March 2014. The first six locations of the ‘Volkswagen On Tour’ show are as follows: –

- 10-12 January 2014 – Negeri Sembilan, Port Dickson TF Value Mart
- 17-19 January 2014 – Melaka, Mydin MITC outdoor carpark
