If you answered “yes” to the earlier two questions, you should be heading to The Otomotif College (TOC) Open Day at its Petaling Jaya campus on Saturday, December 14, 2013 kicking off from 10 am till 4 pm.

The Open Day is aimed for secondary school students and SPM leavers looking for a tertiary education in the automotive industry. This will provide potential students and parents an insight into the pathway to a successful career in the field. Visitors to the TOC Open Day can have a first-hand look at the college’s state-of-the-art facilities, which includes a training workshop equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and tools and its very own fleet of vehicles.

TOC Chief Operating Officer, Thin Lee Chean, claimed that apart from securing lifetime career placement for its graduates, the college has a prestigious and proud record of producing high caliber professionals for the automotive industry since 2004. “We strongly encourage those who have a passion for cars to come and find out more at our Open Day. The booming automotive industry provides numerous career opportunities. At TOC, we offer internationally accredited and recognized diploma courses that make our graduates some of the most sought-after in Malaysia and the region,” he said.

TOC is also the only automotive college in Malaysia that offers a diploma course in Motorsport Technology and it is the only college with a full-fledged racing division, the TOC’s Motorsports Team. The team is comprised of mechanics and engineers who are graduates of the TOC, as the college provide real hands on experience to these talents who should absorb well in racing teams around the world. Hence during the Open Day visitors can view the team’s pride and joy, the Proton Satria Neo R3 that participates in Malaysia Super Series and the recently concluded Sepang 1000km Endurance race, where it finished a credible 7th out of 27 cars.

A carnival-like atmosphere with plenty of games and attractive prizes awaits the visitors , with attractive cash vouchers waiting to be won. Well known Malaysian automotive brands such as Titan Suspension and Motorsport Playground will be displaying their products and fully tuned-up demo cars while Japanese car tuning magazine Option will be promoting its English-language edition for the Malaysian market.
