Wilairot says that he is feeling optimistic about the upcoming race in Holland and is looking forward to a commendable result despite crashing out on his first race in Catalunya.

According to Wilairot, “I have always loved Assen. It will be a good start for me for this season. I have good memories here and I would be inspired to make them happen again this weekend.

Wilairot has always been strong in his races at Assen, as he was close to a podium finish in 2010, before getting edged out in the final stages to finish in fourth position. He also addresses himself as Feem or Film.

I am really happy for how the team work. I felt that at the race in Catalunya and at our test session after the race. We gathered plenty of information and working better and better. On my own, I am working hard at the gym to keep in shape. I am also working hard to understand the bike better. At the race in Catalunya, I fighting hard in the group. I thought I had a full understanding of the bike. I felt good and pushed hard to pass (Anthony). I push harder and opened the gas a little more and unfortunately, I crashed. Clearly, I needed more time and I had been working harder at the test session. The good point, however, we know that we have a bike that can put us in higher positions. I am confident of a better performance in Assen, which I like very much. I did my best lap here in Moto2. So, we are in the right track,” added Feem.

Team manager of JPMoto Racing Team Raja Zaini Raja Mohd Noor remains optimistic for an improvement in Wilairot’s performance at the Dutch Grand Prix.

We welcome Feem to the JPMoto family. As Thailand’s first world championship rider, we expect him to bring his considerable experience in order to help the team grow. Immediately in Catalunya, he was on the pace and after the recent Barcelona test, we are confident that Feem can shine further. We are very happy with his attitude. He admitted that he was surprised with the team; saying that the level of support that this team enjoyed was unbelievable and it feels almost like a factory team,” he said.
