Unlike other Renault Sport models, the Renault Sandero RS is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine with 145 horsepower mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Sandero RS benefits from ESC with sports tuning, new suspension settings, steering and all round disc brakes.

Olivier Murguet, Commercial Director of the Americas Region said, The new models that Renault is showing today herald a new era, in which products are designed and built-in Latin America for Latin Americans. This is the case of the new Renault Sandero R.S. 2.0, which combines the fundamental components of pleasure and passion as seen by Renault Sport. It delivers an exciting driving experience and a sporty ambiance.

Renault has also revised the exterior to reflect the sportier nature of the Sandero RS. The front fascia now carries design cues from other RS models, with a sharper front end with LED daytime running lights, larger air intakes and mesh grille. The rear end gets a newly designed rear diffuser, rear lip spoiler and rear light cluster design. The Renault Sandero RS rides on 17-inch wheels with 205/45/R17 Continental tyres.

The interior has also received some updates, like the red and silver trim that provides contrast to the dark interior, including the seat’s fabric. Red stitching can be found on the leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob. Other small details like the metal pedals and specially designed sports seats add to the overall experience of the Sandero RS.
