Barely three months since its launch, the 2015 Ford Ranger has now received the Wildtrak treatment. The flagship variant was just launched in Thailand.

Compared to the regular 2015 Ford Ranger, the Wildtrak variant has some additional black finishing on the front fascia. The trapezoid-shaped front grille now looks even better than before, thanks to the black finishing. Like its predecessor, the range-topping Ford Range variant sports a unique shade of orange, and gets dark grey highlights on the side mirrors, door handles and side air vents. Besides that, the Wildtrak variant also gets a unique rear roll bar design, unique alloy wheel design and of course, the Wildtrak graphics.

Inside, the new Ford Ranger Wildtrak carries forward the same interior from the regular Ranger, but with some additions. The seats are new, with orange highlights and orange stitching. Sitting on the centre of the dashboard is the Ford’s SYNC2 infotainment system, with an 8-inch display with navigation and various connectivity options (think USB, Bluetooth and AUX in).

Under the hood of the Thai-spec Ford Ranger Wildtrak is the familiar 3.2-litre turbodiesel engine with 200 PS at 3,000 rpm and 470 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. The 6-speed automatic is hooked up to an electronically controlled transfer case that allows drivers to shift while driving. The Ford Ranger Wildtrak also hosts some new safety features, like Lane Keeping Alert, front and rear parking sensors with an integrated reverse camera, Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Alert system as standard feature.
