The Volkswagen Polo Sedan, called the Vento in India and Russia, was launched way back in 2010, and has recently received a facelift. The facelifted model was unveiled in Russia. The facelift of the Polo Sedan comes after the facelift of the Polo hatchback.
Up front, the facelifted Volkswagen Polo Sedan has a new radiator grille, Bi-Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and a revised lower grille. The rear tail lights now feature LED illumination and the rear bumper design also gets refreshed. The muffler is no longer hiding behind the bumper, and is now visible. Apart from that, the rims also feature a new design and there is a new beige body colour.
The facelifted Polo Sedan has the same interior as the facelifted Polo, meaning that the new model now gets the same Golf mk7 derived flat-bottom steering wheel with Bluetooth control and various silver trim on the centre console. The facelifted model carries forward the four power window, RCD 320 head unit and rear aircon blower.
The Russian Volkswagen Vento is powered by a 1.6-litre engine, with either an 85 PS tune or a 105 PS tune. Both engines come with a standard 5 speed manual, while the 6 speed auto is an option. The Vento is assembled in Kaluga, Russia for the Russian market, and in Pune, India for the Indian market.
Since we get our CKD kits for the Volkswagen Polo from India, it would be safe to say that the facelifted Polo Sedan will be coming to our shores as well. Stay tuned!
