A total of 2,613 Perodua owners made their way to Setia Alam, Shah Alam to successfully achieve an entry into the ‘Malaysian Book of Records’ as the biggest car gathering in Malaysian history.
This historic event is part of the “Myvi 10nniversary” campaign in celebrating a decade of its best-selling model, which sold over 840,000 units since it was launched on 25th May 2005. It was held last weekend with participants from the Klang Valley as well as other states in Pen. Malaysia converged to celebrate the ‘Myvi 10’ Anniversary.
“We are very happy to celebrate this very important milestone with our loyal customers and we will be giving one lucky participant a 10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition Myvi as a big thank you,” Perodua President & CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said.
The official announcement of the number of Myvi gathered was done by The Malaysian Book of Records’ official representative Mr Siva Sorianarayanan and was witnessed by YB Dato’ Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz, Member of Parliament of Tanah Merah.
Also during the event, Datuk Aminar drew the name of the lucky contestant En Syed Mohamad Izzuddin Syed Ahmad Termizi from Perak who won the limited edition commemorative Myvi.
The 10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition Myvi is limited to only 12 units nationwide, of which 10 is available for bookings, while the remaining is for the Myvi Nation lucky draw and for the sales and service contest.
To be eligible to enter the sales and service contest, participants must register a new Perodua vehicle or service their Perodua vehicle with a minimum receipt spending of RM180.
The “Myvi 10niversary” campaign is part of Perodua’s “Myvi, Love of the Nation” initiative which started in December 2014 and will end in December 2015.
