By now it comes as no surprise that Peugeot Malaysia will be launching the facelifted Peugeot 508, as they posted up a teaser on Facebook last week. This time around, Peugeot Malaysia is showcasing an actual unit of the 508 in Mid Valley so we dropped by to have a closer look.
The biggest change on the facelifted Peugeot 508 is the front end, with a revised matured looking front fascia. The one they had on display was the Peugeot 508 GT, which is powered by the same 2.2-litre turbodiesel that powered the earlier model. Like before, the engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Total power output by the diesel engine is 204 bhp at 3,500 and a generous 450 Nm of torque from 2,000 rpm.
Inside, the facelifted Peugeot 508 now gets a 7-inch touchscreen display for infotainment purposes. The previous rotary knob used to navigate the menus has been replaced with storage space. The rest of the interior remains identical to the pre-facelift model. The Peugeot 508 GT shown here has a tentative price of RM205,000.
