Shell Advance returns with another edition of its exciting consumer promotion!
The Shell Advance 2015 Asia Talent Cup (ATC) promotion will see 5 Grand Prize winners go on an all-expense paid trip to Zhuhai, China, in September to watch the 4th round of this season’s ATC motorcycle racing championship.
Apart from that, 300 Consolation Prize winners will also win an exciting day out on the tracks in October in conjunction with the 2015 Malaysian MotoGP.
The SMS-based contest runs from 1 May till 30 July, 2015 and it is open to customers who purchase any Shell Advance 4T motorcycle engine oil. Participants need to SMS a unique 5-digit code found on a scratch card along with the “Kedai Kod” and answer to a simple question to enter.
Shell Lubricants General Manager Leslie Ng, said that the 2015 consumer contest is to reward passionate Malaysian bikers who have been supporting Shell Advance. Shell aims to drive higher awareness and public support for ATC, now into its 2nd season.
“Shell Advance is the title sponsor of this world-class competition, which unearths young talents and provides them with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train and race at a very competitive level. This year, we have 5 very talented young Malaysians competing and we hope to rally the public behind them as they take on their peers from other Asian countries,” he said.
The SAATC is a competition that promotes the best young talent from world of motorcycle racing, giving them a formal path into competitive road racing. The Cup is led in part by renowned and successful talent scout Alberto Puig, the legendary Spanish ex-racer who was also responsible for developing such talents as Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa. Puig, who is also the leader of the successful MotoGP Academy, hand-picked the 2015 season riders who are competing over 6 rounds in Thailand (March 22), Qatar (March 29), Malaysia (August 2), China (September 20), Japan (October 11) and Malaysia (October 25).
