Husqvarna has just launched a teaser video for their latest 701 Supermoto (SM). Apart from the video, they have also launched a new micro-site.

Some time ago, we shared spy shots of the 701 SM in Tenerife. We have seen many photos of its concept and it is likely that Husqvarna is prepared to launch the bike soon.
It is said that the firm will be putting this all-new ‘Husky’ on sale this coming summer and priced in the KTM 690 SMC-R range. Both are mechanically similar as KTM has acquired Husqvarna and will be using the same 690 cc, single-cylinder liquid cooled engine that churns out 67 hp.
Like the KTM bigger brother, the Husky will also be equipped with ABS, slipper-clutch and ride-by-wire throttle. It is also known that the bike will come with switchable engine modes and an additional two-litres of fuel capacity, making it 14-litres in total.
This is a machine I would definitely consider getting should Husqvarna Malaysia imports this and costs less than the KTM 690 SMC-R. The KTM is currently priced at around RM 60,000 for the SMC-R variant and RM42,500 for the Enduro R. I’m really excited now.
