Over the past week, on Apple’s CarPlay website, Porsche was added into the list of manufacturers who will support the use of Carplay. Whilst most manufacturer tend to be on a neutral stance offering both sets of technology, CarPlay and Android Auto, the fight to be the main technology in the car has started to heat up.

Porsche Carplay

In truth it shouldn’t really be of a surprise since manufacturers such as Audi and Volkswagen have been in the foray from the get go and Porsche does fall under the VAG group, it would make sense as the entire group of car brands should follow suit.

Take up hasn’t exactly been as crazy as other products but slowly but surely the proliferation of better equipped vehicles will be widespread. I do hope that more and more applications will be compatible with CarPlay as well as the current offerings is just sad.

Apple CarPlay Apps

These apps are offered on top of the usual apps by Apple which appear as standard on your iPhone and from the looks of it, it really does seem that Apple has a long way to go before getting more apps integrated within CarPlay.
