Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd has appointed a new CEO, Kenji Matsuoka replacing Kimitoshi Kurokawa who returns to Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan to oversee a wide network of markets that includes the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Middle East, Latin Americas, Africa and Southeast Asia. Matsuoka’s new role will take into effect April 20th 2015.
Prior to joining Isuzu Malaysia, Matsuoka held the position of CEO at Isuzu-Hicom Malaysia (IHM), a position he assumed in 2012 after spending four years as the CEO of Isuzu Vietnam Co Ltd.
Kenji Matsuoka goal is to leverage on the current popularity of Isuzu vehicles to further develop the brand’s position in both the pick-up truck as well as the commercial truck markets.
While aiming to maintain the company’s position as the No. 1 truck brand in Malaysia, Matsuoka also hopes to achieve a 20% market share for the Isuzu D-MAX pick-up trucks in the medium term.
