Thanks to the folks over at AutonetMagz.com, more juicy info has just leaked in regards to the yet-to-be-launched new Toyota Fortuner. This time around, photos of the supposed price and rear end of the new Fortuner gets the limelight.
According to the source, the leak came from presentation slide from a source in Thailand. From the photos, it is evident that the new Toyota Fortuner will sport a completely redesigned rear end with sharper tail lights. Apart from that, it appears that the new Fortuner has hidden D-pillars. The hidden D-pillars, from what we observe, gives the new Fortuner a more upmarket appeal.
Apart from the leaked rear end shot, the source has also info in regards to prices and variants of the new Fortuner. Starting at the bottom is the Fortuner 2.2G 2WD MT, which has a starting price of 1,184,000 Baht (~RM133,000 before tax). Moving one grade up is the Fortuner 2.2V 2WD AT, with a price of 1,264,000 Baht (~RM142,000 before tax). The third variant is the Fortuner 2.4V 2WD AT Navi, which is said to retail for 1,318,000 Baht (~RM148,000 before tax). That is the sole 2.4-litre variant in the line up of the new Toyota Fortuner. The fourth variant of the new Fortuner is the 2.8V 2WD AT Navi that will cost 1,408,000 Baht (~RM159,000 before tax). If buyers are keen on the 4WD models, Toyota will be offering 2 variants with 4WD, the first being the Fortuner 2.8V AT 4WD, which according to the leaked price, will cost 1,472,000 Baht (~RM166,000 before tax). The range topping Toyota Fortuner 3.2V AT 4WD TRD Sportivo will cost 1,632,000 Baht (~RM184,000 before tax).
With these much info leaked, the new Toyota Fortuner isn’t much of a secret already. Front end has been spied, and now prices and rear end has been spied. Perhaps the next leak would include the interior photos?
