Another year, another revision for the mighty Nissan GT-R. For the 2016 model year, the Nissan GT-R Premium and GT-R Black Edition gains another 5 horsepower and new 20-spoke rims for the GT-R Premium. Also new is the 45th Anniversary Gold Edition Nissan GT-R. Prices remain the same.
To mark its 45th year anniversary, Nissan has took a GT-R Premium and gave it a shade of gold, called Silica Brass. The gold colour featured on the 45th Anniversary Gold Edition GT-R is the same shade as the one on the 2001 Skyline GT-R R34 M-Spec. The gold GT-R will also get a unique gold-tone VIN plate in the engine bay as well as a special commemorative plaque on the centre console. Less than 30 units will find its way to the United States.
Power wise, the Nissan GT-R Premium and GT-R Black Edition will now have 550 horsepower (extra 5 horses than before), while the Nissan GT-R NISMO’s power of 600 horsepower remains unchanged. Also new on the Nissan GT-R Premium are the 20-spoke wheels, which replaces the old 10 spoke wheels. The wheels are made by RAYS, while the Dunlop® Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT ultra high performance run-flat tires are filled with nitrogen.
