Isuzu launched their latest D-MAX variant called the DIABLO, on Friday the 13th. Combining the name DIABLO and Friday the 13th was indeed ideal for the new D-MAX variant, as Isuzu’s latest model is nothing short of devilish.
Executive Director of Isuzu Malaysia Daisuke Ishida said, “I believe that there are many motorists who want a break from the norm and express their sense of freedom and individuality through the vehicle they own. The Isuzu D-MAX DIABLO offers the perfect platform to express each person’s individualism and explore greater motoring boundaries.”
Chrome bits like the door handle, grille, wing mirrors, roof rails and rear bumper has been replaced with black or dark grey to better suit the Isuzu D-MAX DIABLO’s Cosmic Black Mica. The only silver bits that remain are the chrome Isuzu logo up front, and the silver Isuzu font on the bumper guard. Also new are the 17-inch Lenso Beastly Black alloy wheels and exclusive body decal. Like the previous D-MAX ARTIC, the front foglights have been replaced with LED daytime running lights.
Moving inside, the Bloody Red premium Italian leather seats and centre arm rest will definitely grab your attention. Also unique to the D-MAX DIABLO is the dark grey interior trim and piano-black door and central tunnel inserts. The carpet mats and illuminated rocker plates are new to the D-MAX DIABLO. A Blaupunkt multimedia entertainment system comes together with a reverse camera as well.
Interested? The new Isuzu D-MAX DIABLO will come only with an automatic transmission, but can be mated to either a 2.5-litre or a 3.0-litre VGS turbodiesel. The former is good for 134 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, while the latter makes 174 hp and 320 Nm of torque. Prices start from RM107,770 (OTR w/o insurance) and is backed with Isuzu Malaysia’s 3-year / 100,000 km warranty package.
