Last year at the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA, English : Milan Motorcycle Show) expo in Milan, Swedish dirtbike specialist Husqvarna, also known as Husky or Huskies, unveiled their new street-legal concept version of the 701 Supermoto. Looks like the official launch is imminent, the 701 Supermoto has been spied undergoing inspection.
The 701 Supermoto comes equipped with ABS, slipper clutch and electronic throttle control. The engine is a four-stroke, single cylinder 690 cc engine and it is liquid-cooled. Pretty much equivalent to the KTM’s 690 SMC R or 690 Enduro R, but no doubt as KTM now owns Husqvarna.
Furthermore, the 701 Supermoto claims to be able to make about 67 horsepower, sports a steel trellis frame and has a dry weight of about 145 kg.
Just few days back, Visordown first made the news of the 701 Supermoto spied in Tenerife by a user in a Spanish forum. These are likely the bikes sent in to the authorities for inspections, just like our very own JPJ.
One of the bikes seems to have bigger wheels equipped, commonly used for off-road purposes, while the other is equipped with street wheels and 17-inch rims on the front and rear.
