Just moments before its official launch at the Geneva Motor Show, photos of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS has leaked online, and certainly is a looker.
Under the hood lies a naturally-aspirated 4.0-litre flat-6 engine, which produces 500 PS (493 HP) and 480 Nm of torque. The century sprint is completed in just 3.3 seconds, before reaching the top speed of 320 km/h. It will crack from 0 to 120 mph (193 km/h) in just 10.9 seconds. The only transmission choice offered is a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK.
To keep weight down, the roof is made out of magnesium, while the trunk lid and engine cover is gets carbon fibre treatment. According to Porsche, the 911 GT3 RS can lap the Nürburgring in just 7 minutes 20 seconds. The new 911 GT3 RS will also come with 6-point seat belts and carbon-fibre seats.
In the true essence of “less is more”, the 911 GT3 RS does weigh 10 kg less than the GT3, but costs a whole 50,000 euros (RM203,082) more. According to sources, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS will set buyers back for 181,690 Euros (approx. RM736,716 before tax).
