The name James Glickenhaus may not ring a bell to most, but for those in the know, they are aware of his collection of some really spectacular cars, like the one-off Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina. This time, he has something new up his sleeves….
Designed and built by James Glickenhaus’s company Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, the Glickenhaus SCG 003 will make a global debut at the Geneva Motor Show tomorrow, in both road-going and track-only variants.
Under the sexy body lies a carbon fibre chassis, with a swappable rear subframe which allows for different engines to be mounted in. With such a massive front splitter and rear diffuser, expect the SCG 003 to generate massive downforce.
Power for the track-only SCG 003 will come from a Honda Performance Development twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6, while the road-going version is said to be powered by a twin-turbo W12 engine. Handling is handled by (pun intended) double wishbone suspension front and rear, with shocks provided by KW. The 18-inch wheels are wrapped with sticky Dunlop rubbers all round.
James Glickenhaus plans to take the car to the 24 Hours of Nurburgring later this year.
