Chevron extends aid to Malaysian Red Crescent Society Flood-Relief

Chevron Malaysia Limited, marketer of the Caltex brand in Malaysia, recently presented a cheque for the amount of RM180,000 to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society, to aid relief and recovery efforts for communities affected by the recent flood situation in Peninsular Malaysia.

At the ground level, Caltex retailers together with Chevron Malaysia employees have responded to the crisis by providing assistance in the form of financial aid, food supplies and essential items to the affected communities.

“As part of the community and as a responsible corporate citizen operating in Malaysia, we hope that this contribution will help to rebuild the lives of those affected by the disaster. We are also confident that the Malaysian Red Crescent Society will be able to use it effectively for their relief operations,” said Chevron Malaysia Limited’s Country Chairman Shahid Ahmed, when handing over the cheque to Malaysian Red Crescent Society Chairman Y.M Tunku Tan Sri Dato’ Shahriman Tunku Sulaiman at Chevron Malaysia’s head office recently.

“We would like to thank the Malaysian Red Crescent Society for its efforts; not just today but for each time they have been there when people are in need of their services,” added Shahid.
