The All-New ASIMO travelled to the Emirate of Dubai this week to attend The Government Summit: “Shaping Future Governments”. The three day summit, organised under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, is the largest government gathering of its type in the world.
The annual event, which runs from the 9th-11th February, attracts over 4,000 delegates from 93 countries, including heads of state, prime ministers, vice presidents, ministers, diplomats and NGOs – each in attendance to share best practice and discuss how to improve government services across the world.
ASIMO participated in the opening ceremony, which saw Honda’s advanced humanoid robot play football with His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum (Crown Prince of Dubai) and meet his father, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rachid Al Maktoum (UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai) for a handshake.
ASIMO will perform a total of 12 shows (in Arabic and English) whilst at the summit, each showcasing Honda’s cutting-edge robotics technology and long-standing dedication to innovation.
