We scoop more in depth photos of the new Proton Exora! [+prices]

As you guys are aware, Proton is set to launch a new variant of the Exora Bold. We got some earlier shots here. For this post, let’s take an even closer look at the new Exora.

For starters, let’s take a look at the higher specced Proton Exora Bold. This variant has all the bells and whistles, which includes the 4 airbags (2 front SRS airbags, 2 side airbags), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), rear foglight and front LED daytime running lights.

Up front, you’ll be hard pressed to spot any significant difference with the outgoing Exora Bold. But sharp eyed one will spot the LED daytime running lights that replaces the front foglights.

Here’s a picture of them in action.

They are very bright indeed. Also new are the chrome surrounds on the front foglights.

Moving onto the side of the new Exora Bold.

It now has side door protectors. The side mirror is also finished in a new shade of colour, unlike the body-coloured one of the predecessor.

That side, the wheel design is also new. Proton has dropped its split five-spoke designed wheels and replaced them with somewhat better looking 10-spoke wheels you see here.

Moving to the rear of the new Exora Bold, the rear light cluster has been redesigned, but still feature LED lighting as standard. The strip across the rear of the Exora Bold is no longer chrome, and shares the same colour as the side mirrors.

The rear foglight is also a new addition to the Exora Bold. Here’s a photo of the new rear foglight in action.

Moving into the interior, the new Exora Bold gains a new texture for the centre console, as well as a redesigned meter cluster.

Make no mistake, that is indeed an ESC Off button at the far left.

The Electronic Stability Control is also a much-welcomed feature for the Exora Bold, considering that the Australian variant of the Exora Bold comes standard with ESC.

Under the hood, Proton has dropped its CFE name plate in favour for a simpler TURBO name. The TURBO first debuted on the Suprima S, then gradually found its way to the Preve, and now the Exora Bold.

Then we have the Exora Bold Standard. This is the new Luxury Blue colour.

The Exora Bold Standard does not get the LED daytime running lights, just the regular halogen-type foglights. Also missing is the rear foglight and rear spoiler.

What we gathered is that prices will start from RM62,988 for the Exora Bold Standard (metallic), while the Exora Bold Standard CVT will set you back for RM65,988 (metallic). The Exora Bold Executive CVT and Premium CVT will retail for RM71,938 and RM82,598 respectively. The range-topping Super Premium CVT variant will cost RM87,988.
