According to the Road Transport Department (RTD), fees for driving license might just come down, following the streamlining of car and motorcycle theory tests. The RTD would be amending some of their computer system before the system officially goes online.
Director-general of the Road Transport Department, Datuk Seri Ismail Ahmad said, “The department will implement the system as soon as possible for the convenience of all parties and I think the fee for driving licences will go down after this.”
Once the system is up, those applying for either a car or a motorcycle license would only need to sit for a single unified test, in comparison to previously, two separate tests were required.
This came after numerous feedback from various driving schools.
