The Hyundai Veloster Turbo has received a minor cosmetic makeover and mechanical upgrades in South Korea. The exterior styling tweaks consist of a new silver trim on the front grille, new alloy wheel designs, updated headlight graphics and lightly revised fog lights. Inside, the cabin now sports new racy seats available in 3 colour finishes.
Under the hood, the facelifted Veloster features a 1.6-litre turbo petrol (T-GDi) delivering 204 hp (in Europe this engine offers 186 hp) mated to a 7-speed double clutch transmission (DCT).
The new Veloster is mounted with a sound adjustment feature which allows drivers to adjust the level of engine sound. By using the engine sound equalizer, the driver can create his own sound category which can be comprised of 6 different sounds.
The facelifted Veloster Turbo is already available for order and the retail price for South Korea are 19.95 million won (MYR66,095) for the Unique model, 20.95 million won (RM69,408) for the PYL model, and 21.55 million won (RM72,721) for the PYL DCT model.
Closer to home, Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has confirmed that the new Veloster Turbo is set to arrive in Malaysia sometime this year.
