For 2015, Europeans will be getting a new facelifted Honda CR-V. At least from the exterior, it does not look very different from the concept car shown at the Paris Motor Show.
The biggest difference however, lies under the bonnet, as the new facelifted Honda CR-V will now sport a new 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine with 158 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The new diesel engine is only for the 4WD variants of the new CR-V, and can be mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a new 9-speed automatic transmission.
The lower end 2WD models will also get a diesel engine, but with less motivation. The power output for the lower end 2WD model will be at just 118 hp. For petrol users, Honda will not be dropping the 2.0-litre i-VTEC engine, and has been tuned to be Euro6 compliant. Honda will be offering this petrol engine for both the 2WD and 4WD variants of the facelifted CR-V.
As for the interior, the facelifted Honda CR-V gets a new app-driven infotainment system called Honda Connect. This comes as a standard fitment for all CR-V variants, and features a 7-inch touchscreen display.
The Honda Connect system will allow drivers to view vehicle information, reverse parking assistance as well as Bluetooth connectivity. It will also feature MirrorLink to mirror the screen from your smartphone.
