Proton intensifies its Proton We-Care Prihatin banjir assistance to flood victims

Proton reiterates its concern in helping those who are badly affected by the floods especially in the region of East Coast and some parts of the Northern states.

Following Proton We-Care Prihatin Banjir programme that offers 20% discount for flood victims’ car repair, the company wishes to help those burdened by the catastrophe, in a more effective manner.

“Although we initially offered a 20% discount on all the repair works to cars affected by the floods, we have decided to take up this programme more effectively under our corporate social responsibility initiative after monitoring the conditions that is worsening in the East Coast states of Kelantan and Terengganu, and Northern parts of the country,” said Dato’ Abdul Harith Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of Proton.

“We feel that the discount offered earlier may not help much in the current situation and therefore, we have decided to provide a substantial discount for replacement parts at 30% less and labour cost will not be charged to Proton customers affected by the flood. We advice that you send your Proton car for repair at the nearest Proton authorised service centre,” Dato’ Harith added.

The programme which will run until 15 March 2015, also includes free inspection service, valuation of damages and towing assistance from the affected location to the selected Proton service centres. In view of this, Proton owners can contact Proton Customer Care at 1800-888-398 for enquiries, assistance and towing service.
