Based on studies on travelling trends during the previous festive seasons, PLUS expects the traffic on the North-South Expressway (NSE) to increase by 15% to 1.5 million vehicles during this Christmas holidays.
To enjoy smoother and faster passage at toll plazas, PLUS highway users are urged to pay toll electronically via PLUSMiles cards, Touch ‘n Go cards or the SmartTAG. Not only do you get to enjoy smoother traffic flow compared to paying cash, PLUS highway users paying toll electronically will also be able to enjoy 20% toll rebate in conjunction with the Christmas holidays this coming Wednesday.
PLUS Malaysia Berhad Chief Operating Officer, Mohammad Fuad Khusairi said, “All class 1 vehicle highway users paying toll electronically via PLUSMiles cards, Touch ‘n Go cards or the SmartTAG will enjoy a 20% toll rebate on 25 December (Thursday) in conjunction with Christmas.
“The toll rebate can be enjoyed the whole day and not restricted to a particular time frame,” Fuad explained. According to Fuad, electronic toll system users who are entitled to the rebates will be able to redeem the toll rebate when they reload their PLUSMiles or Touch ‘n Go cards at the PLUS customer service centres from 15 February 2015 until 14 May 2015.
However, the toll rebate will not be offered to those paying toll electronically at the Tanjung Kupang, Bukit Kayu Hitam, Bangunan Sultan Iskandar and Penang Bridge toll plazas.
