Ford today expanded the appeal of its segment-leading nameplates in Malaysia by introducing the Ford Kuga Special Edition.
The Kuga Special Edition is available for a limited time only at Ford showrooms nationwide, and is priced at RM 168,888, on-the-road with insurance. The Standard Kuga on the other hand, currently retails at RM161,051. So what can you expect for an additional RM7,837?
Several bibs and bobs like panoramic sunroof, 19” alloy wheels, power adjustable leather seats, Adaptive Cruise Control, Ambient light with multi-colour LEDs, Automated Parking System, Collision Mitigation by Braking as well as Active Park Assist now come as standard features.
Available only in Ginger Ale exterior, the Kuga Special Edition retains the same 1.6L EcoBoost engine that boasts a power output of 178hp and torque of 240Nm mated with 6-speed SelectShift Automatic Transmission.
Engineered for outstanding safety, the Ford Kuga was awarded a maximum 5-star rating by Euro NCAP after achieving an overall protection score of 88%, the highest-ever for a compact SUV.
The Kuga Special Edition also comes with Ford’s Extended Service Plan (ESP) to provide added peace of mind to customers. The Ford ESP is a 3-year or 60,000km maintenance programme that covers parts and labour free of charge. In addition to routine inspection and maintenance services, Ford’s ESP covers free replacements for selected wear-and-tear items, including spark plugs, shock absorbers, engine belts, brake pads, and wiper blades.
