Without a doubt GPS or Sat-Nav devices have become essential to motorists for finding their way around these days. However there have been tales of drivers ending up lost or worse off-road in some godforsaken locale no thanks to these devices. The latest untoward incident occurred in the UK, and proved to be a nightmare for England U-21 captain and Derby County footballer, Andre Wisdom.

It appears that Andre was on his way to a football match last weekend and was driving his £100,000 Porsche Panamera Turbo. Following his GPS blindly led him into what was supposed to look like a “green lane”.  Unfazed, he soldiered on until the roads got even worse. Then disaster struck when the Porsche got into a big pond of mud and was immobile. Not even the 4 wheel drive system and 520 ponies in the Panamera Turbo could get him unstuck.

He was later discovered by a mountain biker and was told Andre was 6 miles  away from the football stadium. A Jeep Cherokee then towed the Panamera out of the mud, and it was seen driving away “emitting a massive cloud of white smoke” as reported by the media. We reckon it wasn’t the car, but rather steam emitting from his ears actually.
