So not only has the new Hyundai Genesis received the highest ever ANCAP rating for crash safety, it recently was voted by Popular Mechanics as its choice for the ‘Luxury Car of the Year’ award, beating out some very prestigious competitors in the process. The award will be presented at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
“The all-new Genesis is redefining the luxury market by offering premium features and advanced technology at an unbeatable value,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president of corporate and product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Receiving the honor of ‘Luxury Car of the Year’ from a prestigious publication like Popular Mechanics further demonstrates why the 2015 Genesis is truly in a league of its own and goes toe-to-toe with the best cars in the world.”
“The Hyundai Genesis ought to have the Germans and everyone else worried. This time around, Hyundai knows that intangibles make all the difference in the realm of luxury sedans, where all the cars are good,” said editors at Popular Mechanics. “The Genesis, right now, is in a sweet spot.”
