Aston Martin releases interior photos of the Lagonda sedan

Aston Martin has released more photos of the all-new Lagonda sedan, the company’s latest luxury model produced specifically for Middle Eastern customers.

The hand-built Lagonda’s William Towns-inspired, carbon-fibre exterior has been a point of conversation since the new sedan first crept in front of a camera’s lens about four months ago. While that evolved exterior isn’t exactly new, this is the first time we’re getting a look at the Lagonda’s beautifully crafted cabin.

While the exterior pays tribute to the original 1976 William Towers-designed Lagonda, the interior’s dashboard is near identical to the Rapide with Aston Martin’s Q division giving the rest of the cabin a bespoke touch. Unlike the Rapide, though, those rear thrones look considerably more accommodating, particularly in regards to rear headroom.

Aston still won’t reveal details about the Lagonda’s powertrain, but since it is based on the Rapide’s VH architecture, it will probably have the same 5.9-litre V12 engine, which produces 552hp and 630Nm of torque.

The first deliveries of the Lagonda are expected to begin during the first quarter of 2015. We’re hoping we’ll have much more info as that date approaches. Until then, we have ten images of the new Lagonda, several of which feature the beautiful, Q-spec interior so do check them out. Our AF Ed.Dir thinks the seats look like they caught a really bad rash, what do you think?
