UMW Toyota opens new 3S centre in Langkawi

UMW Toyota Motor recently launched its upgraded sales centre and its new after-sales service centre in Langkawi, Kedah. The opening ceremony was attended by Datuk Takashi Hibi, Deputy Chairman of UMW Toyota Motor and Datuk Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor.

The new 3S centre sits on a two acres land with a built-up area of more than 26,000 square feet and equipped with a spacious showroom that can display up to 3 cars, comfortable customer lounge with WiFi internet facilities and 12 service bays that can service up to 30 vehicles daily. It is operated by 8 well-trained staff in sales and 12 after sales staff under the leadership of Mr. Teh Kian Hui the Branch Manager and Mr. Mohd Hilmi Rahmat, Manager of Customer Service Operations. Toyota have spent close to RM10 million to set-up these new facilities in order to deliver their brand promise and Toyota Quality Experience (TQE) to their customers.

The after-sales facility also offers Lexus Service Support (LSS) as an added benefit to Lexus customers beginning early this month. The Lexus Service Support will provide convenience in carrying out basic service and minor repairs. Dedicated staff and facilities are specially catered to serve Lexus customers in Langkawi and ensure the Lexus quality service is maintained.

Year to date, the Northern region has sold more than 11,000 units of Toyota vehicle which contributes about 17% of the UMW Toyota overall sale. In the after-sales area, currently Northern region also contributes around 17% total vehicle serviced (CPUS) for UMW Toyota.

Currently,  UMW Toyota Motor has established a network of 99 Toyota and Lexus sales and after sales outlets including dealers. The company aims to strengthen their operations to meet their sales target of more than 100,000 units in order to achieve market share of close to 15%. In terms of after sales, Toyota will continue to attain more than 1.25 million CPUS.
