I really can’t recall a time in the past when the Peugeot brand in Malaysia was as active as it is these days. The launch of numerous models within this year alone aside, part of the brand’s aggressive marketing plans is to expand it’s nationwide dealership network. As promised earlier this year, Nasim Sdn Bhd, the sole importers and distributors of the Peugeot brand here, recently launched its latest outlet in the country, Peugeot Setia Alam. Peugeot Setia Alam is the eighth new outlet launched by Nasim this year and the seventh Peugeot outlet in the state of Selangor.
Owned and operated by Advant Speed Auto Sdn Bhd, Peugeot Setia Alam will serve Setia Alam as well as the surrounding areas such as Shah Alam, Bandar Puncak Alam, Batang Kali, Banting, Kapar, Jenjarom, Klang, Kuala Selangor, Pelabuhan Klang, Pulau Carey, Pulau Indah, Pulau Ketam, Pulau Lumut, Sabak Bernam, Sekinchan, Sungai Besar, Tanjung Karang, Tanjung Sepat and Teluk Panglima Garang.
Built at a cost of over RM2 million and measuring 11,000 square feet, Peugeot Setia Alam is a fully-equipped 3S (sales, service and spare parts) centre with facilities such as customer lounges, meeting rooms, Astro and free high-speed WiFi internet in addition to a service centre equipped with the capacity to service up to 15 cars a day. Chief Operating Officer of Nasim Sdn Bhd, Dato’ Samson Anand George (above, third from left) said Peugeot Setia Alam will enable the company to tap into the growing demand for European cars in Selangor, especially in the new township.
“Last year, the European market expanded by 81.1% in Setia Alam, outperforming the overall market growth. We see great potential in Setia Alam as there is a lack of European representation here. So far in 2013, we have seen the demand for European brands in Selangor increase, keeping in line with the national trend,” he said.
Peugeot Setia Alam is part of Nasim’s rapid nationwide network expansion exercise for 2013 which has seen the launch of outlets in Butterworth, Batu Pahat, Alor Setar, Kuala Terengganu, Georgetown, Nusajaya and Old Klang Road. Nasim will launch two more outlets by year end bringing its total number of outlets nationwide to 30. More recently, Nasim Sdn Bhd launched the much anticipated and highly acclaimed 208 GTI (see separate story).
All Peugeot models come with five-year warranty with unlimited mileage together with Nasim’s existing lifetime 24-hours Peugeot Assistance service, complimentary access to the Peugeot Lounge and its exclusive Peugeot Privilege membership, all to provide the best ownership experience for its customers.
