Toyota does not have a crossover in its lineup, and apparently rivals such as Nissan, Mazda and Subaru are enjoying brisk sales of crossovers such as the Juke, Dualis/Qashqai, CX-5 and XV…but that’s about to change. Toyota will join the crossover bandwagon by introducing the new C-HR small compact crossover concept at the Paris Motorshow.
Keeping in-line with Toyota’s green credentials, the new compact crossover is said to “combine a powerful new design language with an engaging driving experience and a hybrid powertrain.”
Sources claim the C-HR is probably inspired by a Corolla-based crossover. Toyota set to launch this car by 2017, with choices of two- and four-wheel-drive versions, and a hybrid powertrain will be offered as well.
Stay tuned for more details of this Mazda CX-5 adversary from Toyota next month at the Paris Motorshow.
