The Proton Prevé recently garnered an award by ASEAN NCAP at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards held in Kuching, Sarawak. At the official ceremony, the Proton Prevé was announced as the Winner in the Medium Family Adult Occupant Protection category, beating fellow C-segment nominees, including the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis.
“This award is a strong testimony of how much Proton has grown throughout the years. Proton has invested a lot in technology and enhancing our talents to perform beyond our comfort zone. It isn’t easy to come to this stage especially with the perception that Malaysian-made products are of inferior quality,” said Dato’ Abdul Harith Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of Proton Holdings Berhad.
Besides its high standard of safety, the Prevé is one of the global cars of Proton that offers the most well-equipped and advanced technological features in terms of performance, styling, driving dynamics and sophistication, says the company in a statement.
“As we have always mentioned, Proton continuously works on improving our R&D and testing, to ensure that our cars are not only of good quality but to also have safety features of international standards. We mean what we say and we shall keep doing better,” Dato’ Harith added.
In conjunction with the Merdeka celebration this year, the company is giving away two special packages which would benefit potential owners of Proton and loyal owners of Proton. These promotions cannot be used together and customers can choose the one that gives them the highest value. Below are the details:
- Bersamamu Malaysia: customers can enjoy up to RM8,000 rebates depending on the car model and interest rates as low as 2.95%.
- Family First: This promotion allows current owners of Proton to own another Proton car/(s) with a loyalty discount of 5%.
On top of that, buyers of a new Proton car will enjoy 3 years free service during this promotional period. “We value the support of our loyal customers and would like to show our appreciation by giving a special 5% discount off the on-the-road price for their next Proton car (or cars) they want to purchase. This offer is also extended to their father, mother, spouse and children. Therefore, their next Proton car does not necessarily have to be registered in the loyal customer’s name,” said Dato’ Abdul Harith Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of Proton Holdings Berhad.
“This offer is in line with our Merdeka campaign where Proton is present in all the different journeys of a Proton owner’s life. Thus, we would like to reward our loyal customers and allow their immediate family members to share this experience and own a Proton car at a more affordable price. If you are not a current Proton owner, you can still choose the Bersamamu Malaysia promotion and enjoy a substantial amount of discount too,” he added.
Booking period is from now until 30 September 2014 for registration period from 31 August 2014 to 15 October 2014. For the Family First promotion, the entitled customer must produce a copy of registration card for the Proton model they currently own, JPJ Search and original receipt, and relevant documents to prove the relationship of the buyer to the current Proton owner, if the next unit/(s) will be in the name of an immediate family member. Offer is only applicable via purchase through Proton Edar outlets and cannot be used with any other promotion.
