Ever since the release of the Juke Nismo in February 2013, the lineup of Nissan’s specialty division, Nismo, has been growing steadily. Soon after the launch of the Juke Nismo, the March Nismo, Fairlady Nismo and Nissan GT-R Nismo were added to the stable and recently, the Nismo division has added the popular Note to the list to transform it into a sporty and aggressive looking Note Nismo.

The Note Nismo is the fifth vehicle to be marketed under the revitalised Nismo production-car banner. In order to satisfy the needs of both the hardcore motorsports fan as well as the causal sports driving enthusiast, Nissan will offer two grades for the Note Nismo, the standard model and the Note Nismo S. The standard Note Nismo promises to offer a balance between performance and fuel efficiency, while the Note Nismo S is a more performance-focused model.

The Nismo S is powered by a specially-tuned engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, a combination that allows the driver to tap into the powerplant’s fruitful supply of low-end torque, resulting in a thoroughly pleasurable driving experience. However, Nissan did not reveal any performance figures or technical details of both the standard Nismo and Nismo S.

In terms of styling, the Note Nismo S features an aggressive bodykit including a custom front grille, front and rear bumpers, side sill protectors and roof spoiler, as well as Nismo Red accents and electronic folding side mirrors, and Nismo badge.

The Note Nismo S also features reinforced body rigidity and comes with standard custom sports seats (optional on the Note Nismo). Additionally, special Nismo Recaro sports bucket seats are offered as a factory option on the Note Nismo S.

The Nissan Note Nismo will be available in showrooms across Japan in the third quarter of 2014.
