BMW has launched the M235i Track Edition in the Netherlands, as the name of the car sounds like, it’s definitely built so that the M235i can go faster around a race track. Do note, this isn’t to be mistaken with the M235i Racing Edition which is meant to be a proper race car.
So what makes it stand out? It features an M Performance body kit that includes a front splitter, side skirts, and a rear diffuser. The new model also comes with a black grille, a trunk-mounted spoiler, and a stainless steel sports exhaust system, and a set of 19″ alloy rims.
In terms of power, the car’s 3.0L turbo charged engine produces 326 PS and 450 Nm of torque. It still maintains the same 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox. The car completes the century sprint in just 4.8 seconds. I don’t see much upgraded in terms of the handling or the brakes.
On the interior, the car is wrapped in alcantara and it also comes with the BMW performance steering wheel which provides data on a small little LCD screen which provide race data.
Unfortunately only 12 units of BMW’s M235i Track Edition will be released at a cost of €83,000 (around RM355,000). The M235i isn’t available in Malaysia at the moment but this Track Edition sounds more like a M235i which has been kitted out with the M Performance bits, both exterior and interior as well as some performance parts.
